Alden
Aerospace engineer. Educator. Martial arts school owner. Author of 15 books. PhD from ASU, psychotherapist, consultant. So he wasn't busy at all and started doing stand-up comedy at age 48.
He performed at The Improv, Tempe Center for the Arts, Vito's, and Stir Crazy Comedy Club from 2013 through 2020. He will tell you this was a deliberate strategic decision. His family thinks he's either crazy or has early onset dementia.
He has a PhD and a black belt. He will mention both at least once per set. The audiences seem to find this funnier than he intended. Vote for Greg!
Alden Moody — college educated Sun Devil, 3-sport star — performed his first stand-up set at age 12. And at that age... sex ed is a funny topic. By 18, he had a featured solo show at the Tempe Center for the Arts!
He's starred at The Improv, Vito's, Tempe Center for the Arts, and Stir Crazy Comedy Club! The Father's Day Zoom show may be the best thing that came out of that year — which, given the competition, is a very low bar.
Whether he's actually funnier than Greg is a debate that's been running for over a decade. The jury is still out. Vote for Alden!
Greg has a PhD, a black belt, and now a book he did not write. He took dictation. The author is a cat named Non Fuzzy, who has never once been funny on purpose and is somehow ahead on laughs.
Every cat runs four quadrants: Pest, Provide, Poop, Eat. Every purr, every 4:52 a.m. wake-up, every dead thing on your pillow files into one of them, and not one of them is love. You are not a companion. You are staff.
It reads like a comedy set and it is also, irritatingly, correct — every claim is cited, because the academic in Greg could not let it go.
Get the Paperback — $6.57We've done it at The Improv, Tempe Center for the Arts, Stir Crazy, and a Zoom show that was better than it had any right to be. If you want to book Greg and Alden, get in touch. We promise to be funnier in person than this website implies.
